Across our campuses (St John’s Campus and City Campus) there are over 1,000 single occupancy rooms to suit a variety of budgets. Our award winning student accommodation are managed with 24 hour security and emergency maintenance. When living on campus you will benefit from Free gym membership, internet access and much more. Additional to halls of residence, we also have University managed houses, for those that may want more space and independence. As soon as you have firmly accepted the offer to study at University of Worcester, you’re then eligible to apply for Student accommodation. UNIVERSITY OF WORCESTER ARENA
University of Worcester Arena, is not only home to the Worcester Wolves, but also UW Basketball. Completed in 2013, the £15 million University of Worcester Arena is Britain’s first indoor sports hall purpose designed to include the wheelchair athlete. So there is no better place to house UW Wheelchair Basketball team to go along side our Men’s and Women’s teams. The Arena forms the focal point of the growing Severn Campus, located next to the River Severn.
Since opening in April 2013, University of Worcester Arena has hosted various high profile Basketball events
- full international games and training camps for GB men and women
- European Wheelchair Basketball Championships in 2015
- Valencia-Worcester International Basketball Camp
- Basketball England Regional Tournaments and National Finals
The Main hall consists of 1 show court for Basketball and Netball exclusively, which sits between 2 multipurpose courts. Utilised for lectures throughout the day, and Worcester Wolves, Severn Stars and UW sports teams in the evening. UW Arena serves many within the University of Worcester community.
Situated within the Arena is our Strength and Conditioning Suite, which was specifically designed to meet the needs of UW Student Athletes such as those within the Basketball programme. Equipped with 8 lifting stations and a full range of complimentary equipment to aid the development of the modern Basketball athlete..

St John’s Campus is our main campus and home to St Johns Sports Centre and Gym, Student Union and First Point which is located within the Pierson Study and Guidance Centre.
Located in Worcester City Centre, our city campus is home to The Hive Library, which was opened by Her Majesty the Queen in 2012. Also located here are the University of Worcester Business School, Jenny Lind building and the McClelland Health and Wellbeing Centre.
Lakeside is a 50 acre site located in the countryside, a short 10 minute drive from St Johns’s Campus. Offering a range of outdoor activities such as canoeing, open water swimming and orienteering, Lakeside is utilised by many of our academic schools and the student union.
