Men’s 1st beat Champions

With one of their strongest performances of the season so far. UW Men’s 1st team stun Midlands Tier 1 champions, BCU.

From the opening tip, UW set the tone with. Forcing turnovers and creating opportunities in transition. Despite BCU’s attempts to claw back into the game. UW maintained control throughout. Winning each quarter, stretching the lead to 28pts, midway through the 4th quarter.

A midst the victory, a standout performance off the bench for Seidina Doukoure, provided a spark. A combination of drives and good shooting, relentless energy of both ends of the floor. Was pivotal in allowing UW to stay in control of the game and not lose momentum, whenever BCU made a run.

The win marks a huge statement for UW, proving they can hang and beat the leagues best. UW will look to carry this momentum into their next fixture when they take on Southampton in the National Trophy.
