Their Sunday road game trip saw them come away with their first away victory of the season against Reading Rockets <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For full game report <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/worcesterwolves.org\/2021\/10\/18\/reading-rockets-61-64-worcester-wolves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">click here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This week see&#8217;s perennial title contenders Anglia Ruskin University visit University of Worcester Arena for the weekend fixture.  With a 2-1 record in the early stages of the league after Sundays victory under their belt,  we briefly caught up with Coach Ryan to get his thoughts on the week&#8217;s preparations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What have you taken from the Reading victory<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We&#8217;ve made considerable strides in our team defense.  We still need to work on limiting our turnovers, if we really want to compete with the upper tier of the league in BUCS and WNBL 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How&#8217;s team preparation been this week?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It&#8217;s been productive, with high levels of energy and effort within all our sessions this week.  We&#8217;re in a good place, ready to compete at the weekend.  Working on the thing&#8217;s I mentioned earlier, the team understand where we need to be better.  They&#8217;ve pushed each other in the right way to improve in those areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How do the team feel not having to play back to back due to Derbyshire Diamonds forfeiting their cup fixture? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The game was another opportunity to get better and play basketball.  However, not having the fixture really allowed us to give more attention to ARU, as well as giving the players more opportunity to rest, recover physically and mentally.  The week ahead will be challenging with a game against <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/uwbasketball.wp.worc.ac.uk\/index.php\/event\/worcester-wmns-1-vs-ntu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nottingham Trent<\/a><\/strong> on Wednesday 27th October and then <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/worcesterwolves.org\/fixtures\/womens-nbl-team\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Thames Valley Cavaliers on Saturday 30th October<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Is there an update on when guard Anna Trett will return to action?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She&#8217;s under the concussion protocol and will return when that process has taken it&#8217;s course and she&#8217;s cleared by our teams medical staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As always we wish Ryan and the Worcester Wolves Women all the best in their game.
